Huckel's law
WebThe Debye-Huckel limiting law allows the predictions of the density of dilute solutions of dissolved salts by providing a relationship for the molar volume of the salt as a function of ion strength. The relationship is linear in the square root of ionic strength, with the slope dependent only upon the charges of the ions which constitute the salt. WebThis is the Debye-Hückel law. At low concentrations logγ i→−A γ z i 2I. This is the Debye-Hückel Limiting Law. Note that a is an ion parameter for the solution. A γ and B γ are f(T,P) and are tabulated by Helgeson and Kirkham (1974).
