The designer can use components in one assembly as a reference to design a new component in another assembly. If the component in the referenced assembly changes the new component will change accordingly. WebGo to open the new file via file>open. Click the "references" button in the dialogue box. Double click the referenced file name, and point it to the new file you want to reference.
