WebDec 28, 2006 · The steel #4 and steel #6 shot loads may pattern better than 1-1/8 oz of TSS #7 shot because they have more pellets per shell. I would think a 1-1/8 oz load of TSS #7 shot through a full choke at 30 yards would be WAY TO TIGHT of a pattern. I use a Modified choke with my TSS coyote loads and they shoot very tight patterns out to 60 and 70 yards.

A #9 TSS pellet has the same knockdown power as a #6 lead pellet. The difference is an ounce of #6 lead will have about 222 pellets, and an ounce of #9 TSS has over 350 pellets.
